Policies and Procedures 7.5.1 Release Information Follow
Policies and Procedures 7.5.1 is an update with added functionality to the Policies and Procedures application that was released earlier this year. These updates are intended to finalize the initial vision of the P&P application. There will be another release for 7.5.2 which will address bugs and suggestions.
Feature:
Document Review Alerts – When a document is 30 days away from review, an alert will be sent out to Authors that the document is needing review. If a review date is set less than 30 days in the future, then the alert will get sent out on the review date.
Document Expiration Alerts – When a document is 30 days away from expiration, an alert will be sent out to Authors and Publishers that a document is about to expire. If the expiration date is set less than 30 days in the future, then the notification will get out on the expiration date.
- Review and Expiration Reminder Update button – On the journal, next to the review date, there is a Review and Expiration Reminder Update button that has not been functional until now. Clicking this button will allow the changing of the expiration and review dates. Changing these will update their reminders. This button is only accessible by the Publishers and Managers personas.
- Deactivating Documents and Folders – Polices and Procedure documents have a new dropdown option in the Portal Documents section. The deactivate option will allow Publisher persona members to deactivate documents. Deactivated documents are not visible to other portal members and attempting to access a deactivated document you do not have permission to will tell you the document doesn’t exist. This functionality is introduced so permissions do not have to be altered or documents and their history deleted.
- Unpublishing Documents – In the rare case that a document needs to be unpublished, we have included functionality for doing so. The Publisher in a document now has a button for Unpublishing a document. This will return the document to the Publisher in a pre-publish state. If the document is not version 1.0, then the previous version of the document will be available for viewing. Acknowledgements on the previous document will again be available.
- Persona Modals – When on the journal page, you can now click on the persona names to bring up a modal containing the members of that persona.
Bug Fixes:
Acknowledgement Required due date – The journal page did not display the due date for requiring acknowledgements. These dates should now show.
