Would you like to have a way that your People Ops team can call out a special team member? Or maybe a way that your CEO can give a 'once a month' award? Perhaps you want a 'hidden' award only available in special situations? Look no further!
The Employee Recognition Application already has this feature built in!
Start by visiting your Recognition Admin Island and adding a new item that is specific to your needs. In my example, we will be creating a "V.I.P." award.
Once you have the item created and designed the way you want it, go BACK to the Manage Recognition screen and "deactivate" it by clicking the green Status Check Mark. Once, inactive, it will NOT show on the page to be "given out."
Here's how this works: Your People Ops Team (or whoever) needs to have access to a Recognition Admin Island. They can even have one on a "My Page" as they are all connected.
- Visit the Admin Island, turn the Special Recognition to "Active."
- Send the desired Recognition.
- Visit the Admin Island, turn the Special Recognition to "Inactive." (This prevents anyone else from giving it out.)
The sent item will show on the Wall, and in the Recipient's history, but no one will know how it got there!
