OS EDU - Dear CSM - Can We Change Our Hyperlink Color in a PTE? Follow
Question : We used a PTE to place information on a page, and chose a dark blue background. But, when I put the hyperlink in, I can hardly see it, because I can't seem to change the color! Can you help?
Answer: We sure can! You just need to 'move' some info around on the HTML side. This is really easy - don't be afraid!
Here's an example of a link in the PTE :
<p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="font-size: 15px; font-family: 'Century Gothic'; color: #ffffff;"><strong> <a href="https://www.google.com">Go to Google</a></strong></span></p>
If we break that down, in order, we are basically saying :
<p style="text-align: center;"> Center my text
<span style="font-size: 15px; font-family: Century Gothic; color: #ffffff;"><strong> Make my text 15px, Century Gothic font, white and bold
<a href="https://www.google.com">Go to Google Go to this link
</a></strong></span></p> End of my instructions
But since the hyperlink add comes in AFTER the instructions, the hyperlink behavior overrides. It’s a little frustrating.
So to fix it, just change the order.
<p style="text-align: center;"> Center my Text
<a href="https://www.google.com"> </a> Go to this Link
<span style="font-size: 15px; font-family: 'Century Gothic'; color: #ffffff;"><strong>Go To Google Make my font look how I want
</a></strong></span></p> End of my instructions
Or ... as one line,
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.google.com"><span style="font-size: 15px; font-family: 'Century Gothic'; color: #ffffff;"><strong>Go To Google</a></strong></span></p>
Many thanks to the amazing "OTHER Melissa D" at Kennebec (that's her at the bottom!) for the question and for providing us with the super cute results! We appreciate you!
