We are starting to really dig into Learning Management, and have built-in a few tests, but we have a pretty big problem. How can we tell exactly what questions someone got wrong? I can't "coach" someone what areas they need to study if I don't know what they need to study! Please help!
This is a multi-part answer ... hang on to your boots!
First : ONLY Portal Staff who have access to the Admin Report Node (found under Reports - > Learning Management System - > Admin Reports) can see the Test Results.
So, who has access to that?
- People in the Portal Admin Role (have all reports by default)
- People who have been given access to that Node via Portal Tools -> Manage Portal Framework -> Module Report Security -> Learning Management System -> Admin Report
Second : If a person has access to the Admin Report Node, then that person has access to ALL of the Admin Reports, for every staff member, for every class.
So, assuming you have access to the Admin Report Node, which can also be found by going to https://YOURPORTALNAMEHERE/Modules/LearningManagementSystem/AdminReport.aspx you should see a screen like this :
If you want to pull a Test for a specific Person, choose them under User Name. From there, it's pretty easy to drill down by a specific Course, Test or Status (Passed/Failed)
Over on the right, you'll see the status of each test taken, along with a Magnifying Glass Icon. Clicking the Magnifying Glass will take you to THAT specific test in a pop-up window.
Then you can see how each question was answered!
Okay, that's cool, but I really don't want to give every person access to see every OTHER person's test results. can you imagine the Gossip Factory that would ensue? No thank you! Got any good ideas?
Followup Answer :
You know we do. :)
How about a Help Desk? Call it a "Test Result Request" Desk? Have the technician(s) be the folks who do have that Node. I'd recommend at least the following fields :
Employee Name :
Employee Email :
Test / Course Name :
Date Needed By: [date picker]
Send Copy to employee as well? [check box, default No]
(Many thanks to the amazing Michelle K. at WMCU for sticking with us while we figured out how in the heck to pull this info, and to our own Rachelle for digging deep to get the right answers!)
