This requires an edit of the web.config file on the Passageways server. After this change is made only characters matching the modified regular expression will be allowed for usernames.
How to add the Regular Expression Attribute to the web.config:
1.) On the passagways server browse to Drive\inetpub\wwwroot\Passageways
2.) Open the Web.config file to edit. (Ctrl +F) Find <settings applicationRoot=
3.) After the attribute <settings applicationRoot="Portal Url" add: userNameRegularExpression="[0-9a-zA-Z]+">
Should look like this: <settings applicationRoot="http://Bentley/" userNameRegularExpression="[0-9a-zA-Z]+">
Note: The plus "+" sign means Alphanumeric characters can repeat.
Alphanumeric Expression Description
|0-9||All number between 0 and 9|
|a-z||All lower case characters between a and z|
|A-Z||All uppoer case character between A and z|
