Deleting the status field as a user profile field can cause issues if you wish to use status bar or the default user profile. This field can be easily recovered though.
- Go to Portal Tools -> Manage Portal Framework -> Manage Users -> Profile Field Manager.
- Click the New Field button.
- Set the Field Type to Text Box
- Set the Label to Status
- Set the Provider to Custom
- Click OK.
The Status field will have its other options set automatically.
